2Bible Camp was a blast! The planning committee came together during the summer months and began the process of praying a visioning the purpose for this year’s camp. We unanimously agreed that Bible camp was a time to ignite a passion for the Bible while providing the tools to explore it. So with that in mind we set out to plan a weekend that would be full of fun and excitement and practical Bible tools. 106 individuals joined the weekend’s festivities. From Mark Winter’s Magic show on Friday night to Saturday morning with Bishop Lowry. During his time, Bishop Lowry shared some really fun facts about the bible and allowed the students to engage by finding scriptures.

We had dynamic speakers who’s passion for the Bible was evident as they shared with the 3rd and 4th graders. Our worship leader Michael Parish led the kids in singing and dancing as we celebrated the reason we were all gathered together. Our large group times weren’t the only place fun was happening. 16During breakouts we explored tools to use the Bible, went on a scavenger hunt, used food to tell Bible stories, and participated in ropes course activities. The fun still wasn’t over we closed our last large group time together with worship before heading to our camp actives time. The rain and storms delayed our outdoor water activities but the sun came out and everyone took part in fishing, swimming, and canoeing.

God’s presence was apparent through out the weekend and the 3rd and 4th grader’s excitement for learning was contagious. A huge thank you to our breakout leaders, our planning committee, our worship leader, and our speakers. The support each of them gave made the weekend possible and helped to reach the vision of igniting a passion for the Bible while providing the tools to explore it.
