$1,675 out of $7,500 raised so far!

This summer, Glen Lake Camp and the Center for Mission Support (Central Texas Conference) is partnering with Kids Against Hunger. Our young people will gather to package highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving, malnourished children and their families in developing countries. The goal of the partnership is for meals to provide a stable nutritional base from which recipient families can move from starvation to self-sufficiency. Glen Lake seeks to end the literal hunger of children receiving the meals, but also satisfies a hunger among campers. We ask for your support in nurturing and fulfilling a hunger for meaning, contribution, and service to others.

Campers will pack and send 30,000 meals through the program. Each meal costs $0.25 and therefore, the total summer project will cost $7,500. We need to raise $7,500 to pay for the supplies for our campers to pack 30,000 meals by the end of the summer. The Center for Mission Support at the Central Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church   has committed to match a portion of funds raised in donations.  Please consider donating to help this camper mission project pack 30,000 meals in order to serve 180,000!

Glen Lake Camp’s mission is to create experiences where ALL people can encounter God through teaching faith, restoring hope, and inspiring love for the transformation of the world. By helping us achieve this great goal, campers will have the opportunity to truly serve and the impact will be felt around the world.
